I’m not saying I am wealthy.

But could a humble, wealthy, nice man date a girl like Alex Morgan or Hope Solo off Team USA soccer?

How would they meet?

People always judge the USA fans passion for the sport. In their defense, they’re nowhere near as passionate about it than other countries are. But in South Africa. the USA had a large number of fans go to the games. In the 1994 World Cup, it was hosted by the USA and it set records for highest attended WC ever and it had 12 less matches than the WC currently has. Right now, they’re tied for 13th with Serbia and that is a respectable ranking considering our athletes don’t grow up playing and aspiring to be soccer/football players. Why do people criticize USA soccer/football in general and their fans?

This is a genuine question and not about bashing soccer as boring from most of the American’s mouth. Really think about it, baseball, golf, car racing, even bowling is above soccer in USA but in rest of the world Soccer is #1! So are we to day it’s the rest of the world that’s wrong and only we’re right? Isn’t that the same as a truly crazy man thinks everyone is crazy except himself? This is my reasoning why soccer is not great in this so called greatest country in the world USA: Soccer doesn’t have or allow any time outs during the entire game except for half time so no commercials are allowed which means millions and millions of dollars are not made for the broadcasting stations. Therefore, it’s all about MONEY in this country of ours, isn’t it? It’s the culture of greed, don’t you think? I mean really do you think baseball, golf, car race is more exciting than soccer?? Really? The world is mad except us here in USA? Really? You don’t think we’ve been brained wash by the media and forced to watch golf in stead of soccer, the real sport?
To Destroyer: Thanks for being honest.

People have been saying that if the USA hosts the 2018 or 2022 WC, we could be more of a soccer nation. Being ranked 13th in the world is really good considering that soccer is the 5th or 6th most popular sport in the USA, but it is growing in popularity. If the USA could make the semi-finals in the next WC, then it could have a chance. USA kids grow up dreaming to be Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter, not Pele. If the USA could make it to the semi-finals of a WC, do you think the USA could be a soccer nation? If they became a soccer nation, they would be ranked in the top 5 or so I predict. I don’t see soccer becoming the #1, or #2 sport, but it will leapfrog hockey soon and maybe it could steal away a kid from basketball or football. By 2022, USA soccer will be a contender.
If the USA wins the WC, to be honest, a lot of people won’t care.
also lacrosse, and mma are theup and coming sports in the USA and that will knocked down soccer
@Amanda-USA should get 1 of those bids. We already of have world class stadiums and don’t need to build any more. Most of them fit 70,000 plus
@isoccer-MMA and Lacrosse are the next big things. Lacrosse is like soccer, its only popular in certain regions of the country
@isoccer-you don’t know anything about USA then..if you think soccer is the most popular sport, than you need help.

Before Beckham I didnt even know that the USA had a soccer league. Soccer is pretty overrated to me. They say that everyone outside of America loves the game I think that is a overstatement. One of my co-workers is from Peru and she said that she finds the game of soccer boring. Also alot of my friends from other countries dont follow soccer either. They prefer the better sports like Ultimate fighting or NFL football.
I would say soccer is under apperiated in the USA. But soccer fans over exagrated the popularity of soccer outside the USA. I lived in Puerto Rico while i was in the military and it seemed that most Puerto Ricans dont care about soccer. I have alot of friends from other countries that dont care about soccer either. I just think soccer cannot survive in the USA. Soccer will eventually fail like cricket or tennis in the USA. Oddly USA is #1 in the world in tennis right now and the sport isnt even popular here. Andy Roddick kick Federers ass i heard.
I dont hate soccer. I just dont see anything special about the game. Too me its just another sport. i think American Football and Ultimate fighting are much better sports.
Angel not true
National sports of these countries
Finland- Ice Hockey
Canada Ice Hockey
Dominican Rep- Baseball
Cuba Baseball & boxing
Puerto Rico Baseball
Venezulea Baseball
Japan Baseball
Taiwan baseball
Nicaragua baseball
Panama baseball
Cuarcao baseball
South Korea baseball
USA football and baseball
Pakistan Cricket
India Cricket
Jamaica Cricket
Trinidad and Tobago Cricket
South Africa Rugby
Australia Cricket/Aussie rules
Lithuania – basketball
Philipines basketball
New Zealand rugby
Czech Rep- ice hockey
Also
Russia Ice hockey
Barbados- cricket
Virgin Islands baseball
Guyana Cricket
Im not saying that soccer isnt the world most popular sport. But its lead isnt as dominant as most people say it is.
Ultimate fighting is growing so fast that I think it will top soccer one day. UFC has already had events in Brazil, Japan, UK, Ireland, and Canada already.
UItimate fighting has already topped boxing.
Also soccer is the most popular sport cause its the cheapest sport to play other than competitive jogging. If Brazil and Argentina werent super poor 3rd world countries would they still love soccer like they do today?

I was wondering who this former USA soccer player is. He is African-American, had cornrows, and was well built. He played for the US in the last decade. He was #22. He appears at 2:18 in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbOYBa77TCo
