I had an interview 3 weeks ago at Finish Line(The Sports Apparel store) and I called in today to ask if they’ve made a hiring decision yet. Some lady put me on hold while she talks to the manager, and they told me that they have a few more interview tomorrow and that they’ll let me know by the end of this week. Then she asked for my name. Is this a good thing that they asked for my name? Because they didn’t really care what my name was when i followed up on my job interview 2 weeks ago.
Well they told me they were gonna let me know last time i called in and they didnt ask for my name.

She and I were best friends since we were 4, we were extremely tight and we told each other our deepest secrets, we even both poured our eyes out together. She’s (she was) a complete tom-boy and she has boy short hair and she doesn’t wear the colour pink, dresses, skirts, any trendy girly designer clothes, she wore sports apparel and polo shirts and sneakers.

There’s a group of girls in my class who think of themselves as the most popular – when everyone actually really doesn’t like them – but they are so tight, and pull other friendship groups apart. They always wear all the designer, talk like they haven’t known how to say a word correctly and strut around the place.

Well they started taking one of my friends away from my friend group, but she wasn’t my best friend. Suddenly my ‘best friend’ (the tomboy one) started putting her hair up in little pigtails and borrowing hollister hoodies from another one of my friends to try and impress the ‘popular’ group. I asked her ‘Um, why are you wearing pigtails – you hate them..’ and she said ‘I don’t know I guess I don’t like them.’ And at the same time one of the popular girls came up and said to her ‘OMG thats so sick, you have pigtails I love them.’ and she replies to her ‘I KNOW I LOVE THEM! ’ And after that I just walked away. She’s been doing things with the ‘popular group’ for quite some time now, and probably talking about me behind my back.
I know I sound a bit mean since of course she can make friends with whoever she wants, but I’m surprised at how much she’s changed. One day she had to break out and become girlier but I didn’t expect it to be now. My other friends think she’s changed too.

We haven’t spoke to each other really ever since and we find it hard to start a conversation. She’s completely changed and we’re in different classes next year. Should I let it go and let nature take us our own ways or should I try to build up our friendship again?

I am a 16 year old boy who is called a stoner by boys and girls because I have dark circles around my eyes because I don’t get a lot of sleep. I would be alright with this except I am not a stoner!!! I only have dark circles because I am so busy between being NHS president, Varsity Quarterback, Model UN team captain, and working at a job. I am quitting my job once school starts but then I have got all my AP classes so my schedule won’t let up. This wouldn’t be a problem, I have heard the jokes since the 7th grade, but I was at a youth camp and the kids I was with were all asking me what I was on. I am sick of the jokes from guys and girls. I don’t dress like one I just wear sports apparel, I am in pretty good shape, and I am tan. It is just the dark circles around my eyes. So what do I do?

don’t mind the chipped nail polish. i’m not that girly girl/tomboy, so i don’t wear dresses, skirts, sports apparel, etc.

i don’t really the top part that come up on the ankle, but i just bought it for the support, so i don’t mind wearing pants to cover that part up.

Ok so I have this job where I work as a sales associate at a small sports apparel store. It is a private owned store inside of Walmart. Its a pretty cool job just not enough hours and low pay. I The only problem I am having right now is I won’t be able to take off at the last minute when I really need to. The company only employs two sales associates. So it is me another girl and my boss who alternate shifts. The normal schedule is that my boss works from 9-5 day shift and I work 5-9 night shift. The other girl only work 2 days out of the week. But the thing is I have a 2 year old and I don’t have a baby sitter for this coming weekend and I have to work. I’ve never called in since I’ve worked here, mind you I’ve been here since the store opened six months ago. If I don’t find a babysitter by Friday I would have to take off unexpectedly. And the other girl can’t cover for me because she has another job in addition to this one. I am afraid if I take off my boss will be upset with me and I really don’t want to lose my job because it took MONTHS just to find this one. If you were in my shoes what would you do?

About ten years ago I bought several pairs of nylon sweatpants with elasticized cuffs from a web site that no longer exists. What I really like about these is that they were inexpensive (about each), and contain a breathable lining. The elastic cuffs mean I can use them for bicycling in cold or rainy weather without worrying about getting my cuff tangled in the bicycle chain. The brand name on the label is REACH SPORTS APPAREL, but a Google search on this phrase didn’t turn up any useful matches. The sweats I own are typically a single color (red, blue, black, etc) with a double white stripe down each side and no logo. I’m not looking for cotton sweatpants, and I’m not looking for nylon sweats with regular cuffs. Thanks in advance.
